What happened? Outlook 97 -> 98
I have been doing some reading about .pst files. I did copy the old files (outlook.pst and email.pst) from my old computer and did put it in the "hidden" folder on the new computer where the .pst file should be. But when I went to "File/Open/.PST" and tried to open the old pst file, nothing happened.

I backed up my .pst file from my old computer (the only .pst file I found on it) and copied it to my new computer. but it only has the email from 4/6/2004 and before. Old Outlook import
In case anyone is interested, here's what happened. The problem, which I have since duplicated, is that Outlook was trying to download from my new CSI Using File/Import, I read in data, subfolder by subfolder, from the old corrupt .pst file to the new one: Tasks, Notes, Calendar, Contacts, Journal, etc., etc.

I recently upgraded my computer, and what used to be my c: drive is now my d: drive. I'm in the process of moving stuff over, but I'm encountering problems with my mailbox.pst file. Whenever I try to move or copy the file, I'm given an access denied error, and thus my old e-mails remain unreadable on my d: drive.

My new PC connects to my Exchange 2003 Server. I used the import wizard in Outlook 2000 to import my email from my old .PST file into my new Exchange mailbox.
